The Earlton Lions Club, chartered in 1982, is the only club in Ontario that has been registered as a French-speaking club. Our 21 members are divided into two generations that are superbly complementary in fulfilling the mission and vision of Lions Clubs.

Mission

To empower volunteers to serve their communities, address humanitarian needs, foster peace and promote understanding of global issues through Lions clubs.

Vision

To be the world leader in local and humanitarian service.

Our priority is the well-being, vitality and development of the community in which we work faithfully and tirelessly.

We are proactive, always in the best interest of the community, providing support and resources through events and fundraising to help local organizations and groups realize their aspirations, reach out and make a difference.

We are a mobilizing force that enables the entire community, from youth to our seniors, to reach their full potential. We are a catalyst for social progress.

Community Involvement

Among other things, we organize and promote the Winter Festival, in partnership with the Earlton Recreation Club, and the community's free seniors' dinner, which was once again a success, even during the pandemic, when participants simply picked up their food.

Over the years, the Earlton Lions Club's energy, commitment and dedication have benefited the following:

  • Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB)
  • Hospitals
  • Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada
  • Heart + Stroke
  • Local families affected by disaster
  • Students from nearby French schools, including scholarships and field trips: École catholique Assomption d'Earlton and École secondaire catholique Sainte-Marie
